lyrics

I’ve known this man for a while now
Always in need of self-harm
He said he had enough
He thinks that we’re living in an era where progress is seen as bad
Marching toward degradation

We all build fortresses
So no one can hurt us
Basically we isolate ourselves
And say that everyone is selfish afterwards

What if we weren’t so paranoid
What if I know that it’s wrong
What if we finally speak up
Maybe then we won’t be so ignorant of our situation

It's a hard subject for him to speak of
Everyone sees him as a pessimistic
For me this makes a lot of sense
It’s easy to negate someone vision

Especially if you recognize yourself in what he says
I think that it’s time
That we finally set the word out

What if we weren’t so paranoid
What if I know that it’s wrong
What if we finally speak up
Maybe then we won’t be so ignorant of our situation
